Overview of Ilia State University:

Established in 2006 in the capital city, Tbilisi, Ilia State University was formed by the merger of six different institutions. The mission of ISU revolves around three main principles: unity of teaching and scientific research, unity of liberal and specialized education, and unity of global and local education. The university has been ranked as the top research university in the South Caucasus based on its research outputs.

ISU particularly focuses on contributing to environmental preservation and overseeing the implementation of community projects.
